GCRW Board Selected

Golden Corridor Republican Women selected their board members for the 2016 year.  Judge Emily Miskel will again be serving on the board, in a new role as Literacy chair.  She is so excited to being a part of this incredible, hardworking organization that is having so much impact in Collin County.

The meeting was hosted by U.S. Congressman Louie Gohmert, who gave a humorous and informative talk about his efforts to pursue conservative change in Washington.

GOP Volunteer Luncheon

The Collin County GOP 5th Annual Volunteer Luncheon was an impressive program. It was amazing to see so many clubs recognizing members and volunteers for their efforts.  The awards were well-deserved by the hardworking volunteers who earned them.

Collin County Conservative Republicans

Attended the CCCR meeting tonight.  I really enjoyed the in-depth discussion of the upcoming proposed constitutional amendments and the local bond elections.  I’m glad we have so many smart people keeping an eye on our county and providing educational commentary so that we can be informed voters!

Collin County Women Lawyers Association

The Collin County Women Lawyers Association held a great “Open Mic Mentoring” event tonight.  Lawyers shared great advice and horror stories about the no-pants-allowed days of mandatory pantyhose.  So glad to have these wonderful, smart, and funny women as my colleagues.  Also great to see so many GCRW friends!

Frisco Tea Party

Judge Miskel attended the Frisco Tea Party September meeting. Erin Anderson, Director of Voter Engagement for True the Vote, gave an extremely informative presentation about engaging and registering voters. She also talked in detail about how the public can monitor all phases of the election process to ensure that it is fair and accurate.
